Dr. Hess graduated from North Dakota State University with a major in Zoology and minors in Chemistry and Psychology.  He completed medical school at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical School in 2011 and finished both General Psychiatric Residency as well as Child & Adolescent Fellowship at the University of South Dakota.

Dr. Hess is dedicated to teaching residents and medical students.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at both University of North Dakota and University of South Dakota.
